i voted for the first time in today's british columbia provincial election.
what an honour and what a priviledge to elect one's own representitive in the legislative assembly.

I was really psyched when I voted for the first time this last presidential election. Even though 'my guy' lost, at least I knew that I hadn't just sat and done nothing. Some that were directly affected by the results of our election were really excited that I got involved this time.
(after the election my husband declared he's moving to Canada. my vote is for Europe.)

ok, wow, did not know we weren't supposed to read Heinlein. Personally, I always read what I wanted, I just kept it hidden. I would go through periods where I felt immensely guilty. So now I just don't feel guilty about it. peace
it just occurs to me that with the wedding of charles & camilla there appears to be no royal mistress waiting behind the scenes.. just imagine..for the first time in centuries, the prince of wales hasn't got a mistress waiting to soothe his fevered brow.

we all enjoy an interesting discussion.
but, sooner or later it seem inevitable that somebody comes along and throws a monekywrench into the mechanism and the huge engine sputters to a halt.. what do people do in a discussion that ticks you off and stops the flow of conversation and turns it from being productive to unproductive?.
is it as simple as disagreeing with you?.
When people are so close minded that when a "taboo" subject comes up, they force their opinion on you as fact and then get in your face because you don't agree. I have had arguments with people on so many issues.
It's tough because that is in a nutshell some key members of my family, so therefore
1) I hate trying to hold a conversation with them
and
2) That's what I was raised around and I try so hard not to be like that, so when I find myself starting to sound like my mother I get incredibly depressed
If I'm in a phone conversation that get's a little heated and someone hangs up on me.... grrr.

Maybe your favorite posters aren't posting anymore, but hey, who knows...
Maybe and quite possibly they're hangin' around reading this thread. Maybe there's just a lot going on and they want to just observe.
Just remind them how much you miss them and care about them via pm and have faith that they're still there.

Can't you get a computer program that has that sort of thing? I seem to recall seeing something at Target or Office Depot that was about wills.
